In Las Galeras you can still see, hear and smell the sights of authentic Dominican life. You will find yourself just as curious as the locals when the fishermen bring in their catch. Perhaps you will pick the fish you want to eat and have it cooked at the fish shack right on the beach.

The clip clop of donkeys' hoofs means food is being transported from the local farms to the shops in town and you might select a few bananas from a reed basket woven by the farmer.
