Karin welcome you to their home with its panoranic views of the
ocean and Las Galeras countryside.
Close
to Playa Madama and ideally situated for nature lovers to explore
the mountain trails of Cabo Samana, it is three and half miles from
Las Galeras.
Rents
begin at € 220 (Exchange
rates)
per month per room, mimimum one month. The damage deposit is €
40. The maxmum stay is six months.

The Hacienda
has six bedrooms, five bathrooms, an indoor living room and a large
common living/ kitchen terrace. Two of the rooms have private patios.
The flexible
design can accommodate singles, couples, families, groups and visiting
guests. There is the possibility of having your own apartment (one
or two bedroom) with bathroom, living room and private patio.
You choose
how private or commual you want to be. With almost 10,000 square
meters of land around the house, there is lots of space to spread
out. |

The Hacienda
attracts people who want an in depth experience of the Dominican
Republic. Staying at the Hacienda you can immerse yourself in the
Dominican culture and still have familiar comforts.
Ron and
Karin have lived in the DR for years and share their valuable knowledge
and experience. You can learn first hand about the culture in Las
Galeras through the Dominican people they have come to know and
trust
As part
of an extended household you benefit from an instant information
and social network.
Karin
and Ron encourage quiet time between 10 pm and 9 am. People attracted
to the Hacienda often seek the natural sounds of the countryside. |

Spending the
night at Playa Madama or at Fronton |
You will
learn where the best beaches, caves and walking trails are. If you
want to camp overnight on the beach, go spear fishing, caving or
diving than you are likely to find someone to join the adventure.
Living
at the Hacienda, you can become part of the community and don't
be surprised if you get invited to a few parties. |

Horses
are a big part of life at the Hacienda. Karin has beautiful, well
cared for horses and knows all the best trails. Karin may be able
to provide a horse on a long term hire basis to experienced horse
people.
Becoming
apart of the day to day life you find out why many choose to make
Las Galeras home. Join Ronald when he feeds the horses at dawn and
dusk as the soft Caribbean light filters through the palm trees
on the seaside where the horses folic. You will soon understand
why this little village at the end of the road is captivating.

All
the rooms have a generous amount of space. |
The Hacienda
operates on eco friendly principles.
The rooms
have windows on at least two sides to take advantage of the prevailing
winds. Fans are also available. Only energy efficient lightbulbs
are used, rain water is collected and kitchen waste is composted.
The rooms
are semi furnished with a bed provided. You need your own bed linens,
towels, mosguito net and anything that makes you feel "at home".
Dominican
standard bed linens can be provided, if necessary, for an extra
charge of € 40 per bed.
The communal
kitchen is supplied with the basics. Food, and cleaning supplies are your responsibility. |
